For Elicia Vetter and Lucie Kolbe, physical education classes this summer term were different from usual. Normally, the two teacher-training students attend their sports science modules – their minor subject – on the university campus. This time, however, their studies took them to the University of Jyväskylä in Finland for five days.
On 1 August, ‘The Future’ received her staff ID card at the University of Magdeburg. Since then, new trainees have been learning how a university works from the inside out. Their work takes them to offices, laboratories, technical departments, the IT department and the University Library.
